# GSA-6505-1: bind9 Security Update

Gnoppix Security released GSA-6505-1 in 2026 to fix multiple vulnerabilities in the bind9 DNS server. The advisory applies to Gnoppix 24/25 (oldstable) and Gnoppix 26 (stable). Upgrade bind9 packages to the patched versions.

## Affected Releases

- **Gnoppix 24/25 (oldstable):** Install the updated bind9 package from the Gnoppix Security repository.
- **Gnoppix 26 (stable):** Install the updated bind9 package from the Gnoppix Security repository.
