We’re excited to announce the beta release of Gnoppix, packed with significant upgrades, new features, and a stronger focus on privacy and security!
After the huge transition from Gnoppix 23 to 25, we’ve also significantly enhanced our privacy features. Mostly everything has received a graphical user interface (GUI), such as Gnoppix Control, which routes all traffic over Tor. It now offers more visual options, like changing your MAC address, changing your Tor exit node, checking your current IP, renewing your IP, or wiping your RAM.
Since the transition, we’ve released the beta and asked our community to report issues and provide feedback (with a particular focus on the Calamares GUI Installer). It’s understandable that new users, especially, might not be familiar with concepts like crypted DNS requests, which are now default in Gnoppix 25, or even our adblocker, which still blocks ads and continues to work on YouTube ads. Sorry, Google, but not with us.
Your feedback is invaluable as we refine this release, so please explore and report any issues you encounter.
