Gnoppix Security Update: Privilege Escalation in Plex Package
A critical security flaw has been found in the plex package, exposing Gnoppix 24/25 (oldstable) and 26 (stable) to local privilege escalation. This attack is possible when specific filesystem types, such as NTFS, are mounted under certain system configurations.
The flaw lets a local attacker exploit the package and gain elevated privileges. To secure systems, an immediate upgrade to the patched plex package version is required.
Available Updates
