As we approach the end of an era, Gnoppix 23’s two-year development cycle is drawing to a close. We’re transitioning Gnoppix 23 to Long-Term Support (LTS) until June 2028, ensuring continued stability and security for existing users. But as one chapter concludes, another, more exciting one begins!
We’re thrilled to announce that the next generation, Gnoppix Ultimate, is nearing completion. This release represents a significant leap forward, packed with cutting-edge features, enhanced performance, and a refined user experience. Our dedicated team has been working tirelessly to bring you the future of Gnoppix. This past weekend, we made tremendous progress, completing a substantial list of tasks as detailed below. While much has been accomplished, a few critical items remain on our to-do list before Gnoppix 25 is ready for its grand debut. Gnoppix Ultimate is supported till June 2030.
This incredible journey wouldn’t be possible without the unwavering support of our donator and members. A huge thank you to all our donator and supporters! Your contributions keep the Gnoppix project alive and thriving. We extend a special note of gratitude to Nova, our new AI company. Nova has been a major donor, single-handedly covering 87% of Gnoppix’s bills since last year, playing a pivotal role in keeping us going. We’ve recently separated our AI and Distro business from our software development company, consolidating these efforts under Nova. If you’re interested in your own customized OS version, we encourage you to take a look at their offerings: AI and Machine Learning
Looking ahead, our long-term vision for Gnoppix involves a gradual transition. As our AI and Distro businesses at Nova continue to grow and demand more of our focus, we’d love to see the Gnoppix community take over Gnoppix Linux.
